Traditional New England Snickerdoodles

Add a touch of cinnamon to this Traditional New England Snickerdoodles recipe for a fall flavor burst.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 1 Dozen
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • cinnamon and sugar (equal parts)

Preparation

Pre-heat oven to 400°.

In a mixing bowl cream butter and sugar together until fluffy and light. Mix in 1 egg. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Stir dry ingredients into butter/sugar/egg mixture. Add milk and vanilla and beat until well-mixed.

Drop spoonfuls of batter onto greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle liberally with cinnamon/sugar mixture. Bake 10-12 min. Allow to cool before serving.
