3-Day Master Food Preserver Training

Join us for the Master Food Preserver Training at Old Dutch Church, 272 Wall Street, Kingston, NY. 

The Master Food Preserver Trainingis open to the general public who want to learn or enhance their food preservation skills. It is also designed to be a train-the-trainer program for people who would like to  offer food preservation classes in their county.

This workshop teaches the scientific basis of home food preservation and provides a hands-on experience with boiling water bath and pressure canning, making jams and jellies, and pickling.It also includes demonstrations of freezing, drying and fermentation, as well as a discussion of other methods of preservation.

Certificates of participation are distributed to those who complete the course, the first step toward becoming a certified CCE Master Food Preserver. Certifications will be awarded after individuals complete all requirements.
