Chef Ray Gennaro grew up in East Haven and is the son of legendary Chef Gennaro of Amalfi Grill and Gennaro’s in New Haven. From a young age he watched his father in the kitchen and knew he wanted to pursue a career in the food industry. He is a graduate of Johnson and Wales, North Miami Beach campus, and former Head Chef at the historic Waverly Inn in Cheshire. He is now the Executive Chef and Culinary Director at La Foresta in Killingworth, Connecticut.
