Ingredients
Rosemary Simple Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
- 1 cup water
Margarita
- 2 parts freshly squeezed mandarin juice
- ½ part lime juice
- 1 part rosemary simple syrup
- 1 part tequila
- 1 part orange curaçao
- Lime wedges (garnish)
Instructions
Start by making the simple syrup. Using a muddler, gently crush rosemary in a small saucepan to release its oils. Add sugar and water, bring to medium heat, and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Cool, strain, and set aside.
Rim glasses with salt (optional): while gently pressing, run a lime wedge around the rim of glass. Fill a small plate with salt, invert the glass, and dip the rim to obtain a thin coating of salt. Combine the liquors, citrus juices, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Shake until liquids are thoroughly mixed. Fill glass with ice and pour shaker contents over it. Garnish with rosemary and lime wedge.
