Did you know that an average of 20,000 hawks, eagles, falcons, and vultures migrate over our Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch every fall? Join us as we kick off another hawk watching season and learn how to identify and count the raptors seen at Audubon Greenwich. Following an introduction by Audubon Naturalist Ryan MacLean (where you will learn how to distinguish the different shapes of hawks in flight), we'll use binoculars to look for migrating raptors from Hawk Watch Lawn. You can volunteer with your newfound hawk watching skills at Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch any day from August 20th until November 30th to help us count raptors!

This year we are very excited to welcome back long-time Quaker Ridge hawk watcher Brian O’Toole as our official hawk counter. Brian will be at the hawk watch from August 20th through November 30th, Monday through Friday (weekend days will be covered by volunteers). All are welcome to come join us every day throughout the season to learn about and witness the amazing spectacle of hawk migration!
