“A horn of mead was never far from his hand.” A Dance with Dragons, George R. R. Martin

Mead is the world’s oldest fermented drink and brewing your own small batches at home has recently exploded in popularity. Red Bee Honey is excited to host mead maker and owner of Nordic Moon Meadery, Richard Gummoe for a mead making demonstration at our honey house barn. Richard will teach you the step-by-step process of making your own mead. Learn about the basic equipment and ingredients you will need to start up, fermentation monitoring and getting your product into bottles. Discover how honey influences the final flavor of your mead, recipes included. Afterwards taste some of Nordic Moon’s own meads and Red Bee honey. This is the perfect workshop for the mead novice.
