Come see local agriculture at work with a farm tour at Mapleleaf Farm in Hebron!

An iconic New England farmstead, Mapleleaf has been in continuous operation since the early 1900s. See the expectant mothers in the calving field, tour the milking barns, visit the calves in their greenhouse, see the tractors and farm equipment, and enjoy sampling The Farmer’s Cow products including milk, ice cream, and summer beverages.

The Farmer’s Cow Farm Tours are educational and fun for all ages. Host Ned Ellis is a fourth-generation farmer who is proud to show everyone around the farm. The Ellis’ have been good stewards of their land and resources. Solar panels installed through the Connecticut Farm Energy Program generate approximately 40% of the electricity needed to operate the farm. They also have protected 450 acres from development, ensuring farming will continue there for generations to come.

This event is rain or shine from 12-3pm. Extreme weather may cancel. No reservation is required. Please no strollers and no pets except service dogs. Please check our Facebook page for updates.
